What is MEME? It's a group dedicated to the joys (or otherwise) of owning a little something different from the norm ... the European or British motorcycle!

If you're like me, you keep bumping into folks that ride European motorcycles that just about live in your backyard but you never knew that they were there. This site will hopefully allow us to get together more easily and to support each other's club events. It also supplies a platform for rides, events, and whatever to be posted so everyone can keep abreast of activity in the state. You will find news from RAT (Riders Association of Triumph), what's up in the world of Moto Guzzi, and also news from the various BMW clubs in the state. Post classified ads on the brand-specific forum boards; read product evaluations (if you've found something that worked well for you—or not—let me know and we'll write it up), check out fellow rider profiles so you can get to know the people in the group a bit better (I encourage posting a picture of yourself so we know who you are when we meet). As time goes on I'll be writing up some "how to" articles as well (a 250 Ducati single is in line for an article already).

There is no fee to join at this point in time, but I am selling shirts (and eventually hats) to help support the site and to sponsor club events among other things (if you'd like to make a donation towards the site I'd gladly accept it too). This site is not sponsored by any shop! There won't be any underlying sales pitches or moves to get you to swap your brand of bike—however, there may be some good natured ribbing from members, but it will be in fun so don't take it to seriously!

So welcome aboard and let's make this THE site for owners of European and British motorcycles in Maine! Please feel free to comment on the site and to offer input on how the group should be run, and stay tuned for many upcoming changes as we get the wheels rolling on the site!
